Arts Award Gold at QEHS
Year 12 students at QEHS opt to use their enhancement subject choice to work on their Arts Award Gold Portfolios. They are supported by Advisors William Pym and Laura Pollock to develop connections and independently develop their own chosen art forms and their leadership skills outside the classroom. Arts Award Gold Projects from previous years have varied with each creative cohort including: Designing buildings, learning to sing opera, darkroom photography, starting a craft business, learning to perform as a drag act and this is the joy of Arts Award - there is no limit to the creative imagination in our students' projects. Enjoy the gallery of previous projects below
This year under Covid conditions our amazing arts award students have pulled together an incredible body of work that shows their creativity and endurance under lockdowns. In a normal year students would work with local arts partners and artists to learn outside the classroom, much of this has just been impossible. For much of the time they have had to rely on the internet and their own resilience and resources. It is a credit to them that they have produced such a range of individual art work, events and exhibitions that you can enjoy through this website. Please take some time to give them feedback on their progress.
