Project: learning to sew for costume design

About:  For my Arts AwardUnit1 final piece I decided to make a  simple piece of clothing, with some difficult elements to challenge myself. I made this three-tiered skirt by cutting three lengths of fabric, the first being the twice the size of my waist, the second being three times the size of my waist and the third being four times the size of my waist. I then used a long stitch to gather the bottom tier to the length of the middle and sewed them together. I then did the same to the middle and attached it to the top tier. Finally, I added an elastic waistband.
